fixed shaft or 1-way?
«

Since having the 1 way with my x-11, i have found that i have gone backwards with it. my x-10 had a fixed shaft installed and i found that so easy to drive.
what is the benefit of the 1-way compared to the fixed style shaft.
opinions please every-1.
cheers..Alan

One-way shaft = more turn-in (pivot) but less brakes
Solid prop = less turn in more brakes
(They both do the same thing on-power)
I started the year with a one-way but soon noticed that i was getting outbraked especially on the looser surfaces and it seemed most people that were doing that were running solid drive. I think by the 3rd national i was running a solid prop and haven't changed since.
It took me a a few runs the get the hang of the mega brakes! and to change my style as you can't turn with the brakes on like with a oneway.. you have to do your braking before you turn.
I'd say feels more stable going into a turn and is more consistent between on and off power.
Hope that helps

Kev
Can you adjust the orings with the one way to find a "happy" medium between the one way and fixed shaft - or is it really using one or the other??

You can but it won't be as much as a solid prop. I think I managed to get about 7 o-rings on there once when I was after more brakes but its still no where near as much as solid.
