Hi all, looking for help

im having issues with the rear diff slackening off, ive tried different types of thread lock, putting a kink at end off screw and even using a locking screw. still having no joy with it. can someone please help as its close to going on ebay

looking on a few other forums at problems most seem to say the fix is to threadlock in the bolt and then set the diff, once done put a drop of CA (contact adhesiave ie: superglue) on the nut.
other have used 2 opposing shim spring washers to stop the nut loosening off

You should have no issue with just threadlock. Make sure the screw isn't covered in black grease from assembling the thrust race.

There is a chance that you have a bad gear that is slightly over size. It will mean that the diff runs partially on the gear and I think that might cause the problem. You could try carefully thinning the gear inside the the ring of balls. Just be careful not to go too mad and don't go outside the ring of balls as you need that to keep the mesh against the pinion.
