X-Brace modification/ rea |
migsy |
After testing the car, i felt there was something needed to get it to turn better at slower speeds. after talking to Kev Lee via e-mail, i decided to remove the x10 rockers and install a full xbrace system. I done this by cutting away the sections where the steerin bearings are fitted into the xbrace, it would now bolt straight to the losi bulkhead. after fitting the modified xbrace, i noticed a change in its turning performance straight off.
After speaking with Yaji, I decided to go back to the drawing board and re-work the axle brace that replaces the prop shaft to the rear. After finding out that any "play" to the drive gear could destroy the gearbox, I got started on a new axle brace. I replaced the old axle with a longer one and then inserted a retainer spring down inside of the tubed shaft where the prop would be glued. after it was all re-assembled, there was Zero "play" form the drive spur to the pinion and crown gear. |
